This interdisciplinary research project evaluates the impacts of unconditional monthly cash payments to citizens of Maricá, Brazil. The visual identity and bilingual website balance intellectual rigor with public accessibility, creating a platform that speaks to researchers, policymakers, and the community alike. The visual system centers on movement and circulation: a rotating logo and dynamic graphic elements visualize the circular solidarity economy, where basic income recipients reinvest locally. Photographs of Maricá weave throughout the site, grounding the research in the actual experience of the city’s residents.

The bilingual logo emblem rotates continuously to suggest the economic circulation at the heart of the project, its design drawing from Maricá’s municipal flag and reinterpreting it into a dynamic symbol of resource flow. Both primary typefaces — Pollen and Guanabara Sans — were created by Brazilian designers, reinforcing the project’s cultural roots. These typographic choices, paired with a color palette and graphic language inspired by the coastal city, create a digital experience that feels academically credible and distinctly Brazilian.
